Dawn Ipsen graduated from the University of Washington with a Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2001 where she received the Dean’s Outstanding Service Award.  She has been working in pharmaceutical compounding since 1999 and is now the compounding lab manager at Kusler's Pharmacy.  She holds memberships with the International Association of Compounding Pharmacists, National Community Pharmacists Association, American College of Veterinary Pharmacists, and the Washington State Pharmacy Association and is an Affiliate Faculty Member of the University of Washington School of Pharmacy.  She is a Pharmacist Preceptor for the Washington State Board of Pharmacy and teaches Pharmacy Interns and Externs from both the University of Washington and Washington State University.  She was named a Drug Topics Magazine Outstanding Pharmacist of the Year in 2002.  Dawn has presented on the topic of pharmaceutical compounding to physician, patient, and peer groups; most notably to the Professional Compounding Centers of America Regional Seminar, Washington State Naturopathic Association, Washington State Podiatric Medical Association and the University of Washington Pharmacy School Students.  She is dedicated to helping practitioners find solutions to medication problems through custom compounded medications.
